I watched with interest for 2 years as the old Vons grocery store at the corner of Chapala and Victoria streets was demolished, except for one mosaic wall, and transformed into the new Santa Barbara Public Market. That salvaged mosaic wall used to be on the Victoria Street side of the Vons structure. Now it stands proudly integrated into the Chapala Street side of this beautiful new building.
The Santa Barbara Public Market opened on April 14th. It was modeled after Pike Place Market in Seattle with a focus on local farms and artisanal ingredients. Needless to say, there was much scurrying by the market’s vendors in the weeks prior to opening. One such shop owner was Sharon Egan of JuiceWell. Sharon needed signage for her space and Color Services had an easy, speedy, economical and attractive solution with Photo Wall Clings.
Photo Wall Clings are inkjet prints on peel-and-stick fabric. We think it’s wondrous. Installation couldn’t be easier (no drill, no hammer, etc.) plus you can remove them without damaging your paint. So if the time comes to revise and rearrange your display, there’s no need to spackle and repaint.
Ms. Egan reports, “The ease of installing both large and small Wall Clings was pretty much mistake proof and a testament to the quality of the material Color Services uses. Their printing is sharp and rich, and their team does an amazing job in taking care of and going the extra mile for the customer.”
