It was great to have Nick Korompilas from New York take over our California-based Photograph your Love® Instagram feed! It’s clear from Nick’s personal IG @korompilas that he sees incredible things to shoot day-to-day in NY. But during his week on our feed, he shared a fantastic series of images from our side of the country…from a trip to the Salton Sea where he photographed the people and sights of Slab City. If you’re unfamiliar with Slab City, you may want to read more about this quirky desert campsite, 156 miles northeast of San Diego, to put the photos in perspective. Nick’s photos hauntingly capture the essence of Slab City, so don’t miss out. His amazing images really bring this virtually abandoned area of California to life. Nick’s natural curiosity and spirit of exploration shine through in his storytelling portraiture and thoughtful shots.

Work by Nick Korompilas has been featured in Bloomingdales x Sarah Jessica Parker, Terroir Selections, Pier 59 Studios, Amherst Media, Art of Craft, Eligh, ONE Magazine, Roller Warehouse, Be-Mag Magazine, i360 Infused and Apparel.
