When Color Services decided to expand its line of photo display solutions, bamboo seemed like a perfect fit. Foamcore, Gatorfoam and Artboard have been our old stand-bys, and they still have their place, but we wanted to add something fresh and new. When we discovered Bamboo Mounts and Boo Box frames, they felt like the perfect fit.

Bamboo is a very special plant…and about as eco-conscious as you can get. Here’s why. It’s actually a grass, so when it’s harvested, it will regrow on its own. How’s that for a renewable resource? It grows amazingly fast—with a typical growth rate of 1-4 inches per day—but even as much as 3 feet per day! You can literally watch it grow! It matures in 3-5 years, unlike trees which take decades. Bamboo is inherently pest- and disease-resistant, so it grows well without insecticides. On top of that, bamboo is one of the strongest building materials on earth. With the added benefit of being beautiful, we think Boo Box frames and Bamboo Mounts are about as good as it gets!
