Recently Color Services was contacted via website by Adrianna Krikl. Adrianna is a self-taught musician who has scored music for a wide range of projects including films, commercials, trailers, podcasts and museum exhibits. She sent a video link to show us what she was doing with some of the Hipstamatic photos we had printed. It turned out she was featuring her Hipstamatic photography in a unique art show-release party and incorporating HipstaPrints into limited edition custom packaging for her new instrumental music CD. It was a beautiful union.

Adrianna Krikl’s album, “A Snowbird’s Nest” debuted at the art show-release event on May 10 in Los Angeles. This was no ordinary opening. It was an interactive party in which all attendees were invited to choose a Hipstamatic photo print of their choice (no 2 alike!) as well as a handcrafted “Snowbird’s Nest” CD. All Hipstamatic photos were taken by the author herself in Los Angeles and printed at Color Services, the official print lab for Hipstamatic in Santa Barbara. Guests were treated to cocktails in a vibrantly painted space on La Cienega Boulevard. The creativity that went into this event is obvious even to one who did not attend.
